Our Dura Pur™product line is based on proprietary polymers that bond physically and chemically to substrates. Our products range from 1,000 cps to 40,000 cps at application temperatures range from 20°C (68°F) to 160°C (320°F). Open times can be formulated to range from 5 seconds to 20 minutes with immediate fiber tearing bonds and these adhesives have excellent resistance to heat, moisture and exterior aging once fully cured.
Polyurethane (PUR) adhesives can be classified as either thermoplastic or thermosetting depending on how they are formulated. Most polyurethane polymers are formed through the reaction of a di-isocyanate and a glycol. PUR adhesives can be produced in many forms including one-component, two-component, dispersion and solvent-based, depending on your application requirements. PUR adhesives have good adhesion to wood, metal and plastics and they are often used in industrial applications which require greater durability.
